Before & After–Better Than Fillings
Better Than Fillings: With both her tooth and filling cracked, this patient was experiencing sensitivity to cold and pressure. Traditional technology would dictate removing the filling and drilling away a substantial portion of the tooth to be replaced with a crown. Our patient wanted to preserve as much tooth structure as possible so we created a treatment plan that restored her tooth with a bonded, ceramic onlay.
The tooth structure was preserved and the sensitivity went away. As you can see, the distinctive silver-colored filling was completely replaced by the almost-invisible onlay. The procedure took about 75 minutes and restored the comfort, health, natural color and function of her tooth.
